An app called Calibre can be installed on your Kindle and this will allow you to transfer books and other media onto your Kindle so that you can use it as an e-reader without having to register for Amazon. If you have books on your PC, you can transfer these onto your fire tablet as use it as a tablet to read these books. You’ll only be able to use your Kindle Fire as a standalone e-reader. You also won’t be able to use any of the free things that Amazon typically gives away. If you want to use your Fire tablet without an amazon account, you won’t be able to buy any books or magazines or use Collections. The downside of trying to use your Kindle without register for an Amazon account is that you’re going to be very limited in what you can do.

If you Haven’t Already Register using an Amazon Account If you want to use your Kindle without having to connect an Amazon account, you can do it whether you’ve just received your Kindle and it’s asking you to sign into Amazon, or you’ve already signed up to Amazon and you’re looking for a way to disconnect your account and use your Kindle without an Amazon account. You’ll need to get Google Play Store on your Kindle in order to download apps and games like you would on a normal Android device. You may want to use your Kindle fire like an Android device and you don’t see the point of linking your Amazon to your Kindle. You may not want to link your Amazon account to your Kindle – for example, your Amazon account may have been suspended or you don’t need your Amazon account to use your Kindle. When you first get your Kindle, you’re prompted to link it to your Amazon account.
